What we have done

2009 The PRIZM Challenge launches in London UK, on the 'International Day of Creativity and Innovation' in the 'EU Year of Innovation' - April 15th. World Vision Australia and EEPH are among the significant partners in the Challenge, who expect to generate action plans for social issues including climate change (check out the page on The PRIZM Challenge under 'Get Involved'). A bucketload of public events is planned around the world for this year, so we're also excited to welcome 5 licencees in Europe, 2 in Australia, 2 in US and 2 ready to go in Hong Kong and Singapore to help in this quest. PRIZM is offered on the PhD syllabus at the University of Bath (a happy opportunity to 'give back') and in Vistage CEO group workshops.

2008 The PRIZM Game Company spawns a sister company, PRIZM Innovation Europe Ltd. PRIZM starts to be used in other sectors, including local government, food industry, advertising and banking. As well as workshops for technical industries, we now offer public GameDays, which weave personal and social issues into one picture. These are available in the UK, US, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. In September, 3 friends in the UK are licensed to facilitate the Game. These people already run their own successful Management and Innovation Consultancies and find that PRIZM adds significant value to their toolkit. Apparently it 'ticks all the boxes for ethics and fun' too.

2007 At the end of this year, a total of 450 Aerospace engineers are trained and PRIZM has helped generate over 200 new and useful ideas for highly technical and process problems in military and passenger craft. Of these, an estimated 21 solutions are patentable and an equal number can be immediately implemented in the business. The time taken to produce these solutions is up to an order of magnitude smaller than with competing innovation methods - in some cases, the results take as little as 2 days to produce. The total commercial value of solutions generated in less than 100 days work with the right teams, is estimated to be over 100 million pounds.

2006 Work with the University of Bath Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre (IMRC), leads to a significant six-figure contract in Aerospace Design. Over the next 18 months, the PRIZM Method is explored in a ground-up initiative involving approximately 200 engineers from all levels and disciplines on 8 corporate sites in 4 European countries. This leads to development of a sustainable ‘Systematic Innovation Programme’, which is transferable to other industries. The PRIZM Innovation Map proves exceptionally useful in idea management for patents, and as a project orientation and coaching tool. It becomes one of the list of only 14 'strategic workshops' recommended for Airbus France Employees.

2005 The PRIZM Game Company Ltd. is incorporated in UK in June, at the University of Bath Innovation Centre on Broad Quay. We are winner of the ‘Inspire SW [UK] Business Award’ of £10,000 for development of the PRIZM Game. During the design phase, we pilot test the PRIZM Game concept in 10 schools in North-East Somerset. Teacher feedback is helpful in deciding on the best application and the first generation prototypes are completed in August. Shortly afterwards, the PRIZM Game design wins 3rd Prize in US Gold Ink Print Awards: ‘Best Print Production in USA’. ASDAN approves the use of the PRIZM Game in Key Stage 3 'Design and Technology' classes in UK, and the Irish Science Teachers Association gives a lovely review.

It's far easier to have impossible goals than realistic ones!
